Downers Grove Junior Woman's Club Announces Family-Friendly Community Scavenger Hunt to Raise Money for D99 Senior Scholarships

DOWNERS GROVE, ILLINOIS - The Downers Grove Junior Woman’s Club (DGJWC) is excited to announce the first annual Scavaganza, a family-friendly outdoor scavenger hunt on Saturday, March 13th and Sunday, March 14th. Proceeds from the event with action-packed team challenges benefit the DGJWC District 99 Senior Scholarship Fund.

Registered teams will hunt for a series of clues and complete missions in the downtown Downers Grove area – stops will include local businesses and landmarks. Teams will use a smart phone or tablet throughout the event with the scavenger hunt app (Scavify) to track their progress.  After teams complete the challenges and win points, they will be eligible for amazing raffle prizes.

Scavaganza Co-Chair, Kerry Petrozza, said, “This is a brand-new event for DGJWC, and we wanted to create a fun-filled and family-friendly experience for the community while raising money for our senior scholarship fund.”

Scavaganza will take place over a two-day period allowing teams the flexibility to participate in the scavenger hunt at a time convenient for them starting on Saturday, March 13th at 10:00am and ending on Sunday, March 14th at 2:00pm. Team sizes can range from 2-8 people and are encouraged to follow all safety guidelines recommended by the CDC including masks.

Petrozza added, “The event is a fun way for families and friends to get out of the house, enjoy themselves and support a great cause, all while staying socially distant and safe!”

Registration for Scavaganza is now open and tickets can be purchased here: https://www.memberplanet.com/events/dgjwc/scavaganza
