Community Improvement Project [CIP]

Community Improvement Project for the 2010/11 and 2011/12 club years
DGJWC will partner with Family Shelter Services to provide 5-10 volunteers for 2-3 of their events during the next 14 months.  In return for the DGJWC volunteer hours FSS will recognize and promote the DGJWC on their website, in their newsletter, and anywhere else that is appropriate.

Family Shelter Service serves those affected by domestic violence in Du Page County by providing a network of dynamic, interconnected programs and by empowering individuals and families to realize their potential. They have become a vital resource and an organizing force in the community around the issue of domestic violence. Family Shelter Service’s vision is to create a community that is free of domestic violence and safe for all.

We will be helping out on October 16th: DGJWC will organize and run the Kids Fun Run as part of the Family Shelter Service 5K race.
